I didn’t kid myself that going back to work after so long being on “the other side” was going to be easy. I had forgotten just how tiring it is to get up (early) in the morning and drag yourself across London. And really, do people on the bus and tube have to be so rude? And so disrespectful of personal space? I am not loving my commute right now. Fortunately, work itself is fine and I am really enjoying being back in the swing of things. The downside is that so far this week I have been too wiped out to bake, blog or craft when I get home. I am making a lot of sandwiches!
On a more positive note, the lovely Janmary from Welcome to My World picked me as winner of her M&S voucher giveaway! I am really excited about this and can’t wait to put together a package of M&S goodies to send to my little cousin in the US. I have also managed to finish the thank-you card for the wonderful neurology nurse who has spent so much time looking after me over the past few months. I am really looking forward to giving it to her later this week – with a batch of cup-cakes (or muffins? Or something else yummy?) that I will hopefully manage to bake tomorrow. If I can decide on what to make!

I really hope my nurse likes her card!

Oh, I’m wrestling with that now, too! All I want to do is snuggle down deeper into the covers when my alarm goes off in the morning. Ah, well. With a kiddo in college and one in law school, I guess I’m gonna keep gettin’ with the grind…SITS sent me by, and I’m glad they did!

What a lot of pretty pink in that post!

Thanks for visiting me today!
I have only been in London once, but found the Tube to be so ever confusing. There was a very nice woman who took pity on our poor American selves and rode out of her way to make sure we got off on the right stop.
(In my defense, we had just come over from Paris and had spent a week there…so being completely used to their subway lines it was confusing to get used to a new system! especially because Nashville has no public transit to speak of…)

I’m sorry the people were so rude, people here are really rude while drive. They see you pulling out and instead of stopping “Hay let’s just go around them, they’ll stop”
Glad you are feeling better!
